A Handsome Victorian Silver Plated Water Jug
Embossed with scrolls and flowers and monogramed on one side with the monogram MAE and a roaring lion’s head family crest. The handle has horn insulators, so the jug is suitable for hot as well as cold water. With maker’s mark for Gibson & Co of Belfast, also marked C.E N and A1 to indicate the highest quality of silver plate. 16cm high to spout, 19.5cm to top of handle.

Condition: Some very slight loses to plating. Two small areas of solder. The jug has a slight rattle only noticeable if shaken. Probably a tiny amount of the insulator fixer in the handle. Does not affect look or use of the jug.
