A Brass Folding Peacock Firescreen
Fan shaped cut and pierced brass nine panelled folding peacock fire screen, or spark guard.  With heavy cast base decorated with swags, the panels fold behind the central panel, brass catches hold the panels in place.  
English, circa 1900
