Painted on paper, two with ink inscriptions below the portrait,  framed in reeded black lacquered frame with brass mounts to the corners and ring hanger to the top

Lady Wood, wife of Sir Francis Lindley Wood (1771-1841), who was brother to William Busfield Esq. Sir Francis served as High Sheriff of Yorkshire between 1814 and 1815. Their family seat was Bowling Hall in Yorkshire.

Condition: Portrait in very good condition, a few marks to the inside of the glass but without damaging the paper, inscription in ink below the portrait, frame in good order, backing paper with inscription in ink torn with loss.

William Busfield (1773 – 1851), English Politician and member or parliament for Bradford.  Married to Caroline Wood, daughter of Charles Lindley Wood, 1st Viscount Halifax.

Condition: Portrait in good condition, the frame with some rubbing to the edges, the paper back is split with some loss, inscribed in ink with details fo the sitter.

Caroline Rachel O'Reilly (1809-1855), nee Crompton of Esholt Hall, married F.G. O'Reilly, nephew of Lady Wood.
