A Continental gilt mounted hobnail glass claret jug
The wonderfully elaborate gilt neck, spout and handle decorated with scrolling designs and the lid with a bird finial.
Continental, late 20th Century
14.5cm base diameter.

Condition: The overall condition of the claret jug is good; the glass has no chips. The gilding has come scratches and appears to have been lacquered to avoid tarnishing which has slightly peeled in places. This is a very fun and extravagant looking piece!
