A beautiful Victorian silver buckle
adorned with swags, scrolls, garlands, urns and putti. The reverse with two loops which would accommodate a belt of 4.8cm, hallmarked in Birmingham in 1894 by John Millward Banks.
11cm long when closed.
Condition: These types of buckles were almost always nurse’s buckles. This is a particularly lovely example and is in very good condition.
