the case with a label inside for George G. Cocks, casemaker, the steel dial with black painted Roman chapters and blued steel hands, the case with brass fish scale side sound frets mounted with blue fabric behind, the door to the back is glazed.

Condition: The mahogany case is in lovely condition, small chip to the veneer to the rear door, complete with the key for the rear door and winding key.  The clock is untested, however the case encloses a receipt from a watchmaker in Stafford, dated March 1990, detailing 'the overhaul of the striking bracket clock by Browne & Short, including the cost of a new mainspring, centre pinion, fusee lines, bell, keys, suspension and refurbishment of the dial and case'.
