A small silver and crocodile leather Hip or Shooting Flask
By James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield
These glass flasks are by far the best as they do not taint the contents as all metal ones do, this example with a silver lid which opens with a bayonet cap and removable silver cup, hallmarked for 1918 to the cup and 1919 to the lid, this is not unusual as the component parts were produced, hallmarked and then later assembled.
This small size fits nicely in the palm of the hand.
12cm H, 7cm W, 2.5cm D.
