A late Victorian EPNS plate warmer by William Suckling and Sons
The rectangular warming plate in an EPNS frame with scrolling legs and circular feet. The burner is marked Patent and has a twist handle action which raises the domed cover and also raises and lowers the wick. This beautifully designed piece could still be used with no adjustments needed. With maker’s marks and A1 quality mark.
English, circa 1900
Condition: The overall condition of this piece is excellent. The warming plate has some marks from use and cleaning over the years, the EPNS parts have some expected marks and wear but are overall in excellent condition, the burner lid and adjustment mechanisms work perfectly and the original fuel absorbing mop and wick are in perfect condition.
