A stunning 19thCentury North Indian emerald, ruby, diamond pendant on original seed-pearl necklace
The lozenge shaped pendant with a carved foil backed emerald in carved gold setting which is suspending a fringe of seven emerald beads. There is a leaf shaped motif set with a diamond to each side and above a trefoil of three ruby cabochons. The reverse of the pendant has a red flower with green leaves and blue pistil on a white background and is so attractive the necklace could easily be worn this way around. The pendant is on a triple row seed-pearl necklace which has a gold and green adjustable toggle. The central emerald is 19.6mm, the pendant approximately 5cm high.
Condition: The necklace is in excellent condition. The emerald appears to have no chips and the enamel is excellent with only some loses to the sides but the reverse which is what would be seen if worn turned is very good.
