A very unusual Victorian engraved agate ring. Entirely cared from agate with a rectangular plaque engraved with a monogram of a J or I and an M with the date 1860. Finger size 0.
Condition: The band has a chip and a crack to the band but is stable and can be worn. Although agate is a good hard stone the nature of the way this ring is hand makes it more suitable as a curiosity/cabinet ring as it is fragile and is extremely unusual.
