Small mahogany washstand table
Square edged top with high gallery, a single drawer with cockbead and original turned mahogany handles, turned legs and shaped low shelf. The top of good quality mahogany of rich colour and good figuring. This stand is of excellent quality, designed as bedroom furniture to take a bowl for washing, it is of small proportions and came from the attic bedrooms of a Scottish baronial country house, we are quite sure it was made for the house when it was built in the mid 19th century.

Condition: Very nicely presented, there is an old crack to the right-hand gallery, the lower shelf has some light watermarks as you might expect from a washstand.
