Pair of Low French Louis XV Style Gilt Armchairs
The proportions of these chairs make them unusual, low with wide seats and low backs. Fluted arms, foliate carving to the back, blue silk overstuffed seat and back, cabriole legs and brass castors

Condition: The gilding is original and has worn on the arms and backs to expose the base coats in maroon and white, the effect that can only be achieved through years of use. Beautifully presented frames, the springs and upholstery are in good shape and ready to recover.
