Matched Pair of Irish Mahogany Dressing Tables
They are a matched pair made from slightly different timbers, one table has slight variation in the scale of the mouldings on the legs, I suggest one was made to match the other. Both with polished mahogany tops and shaped up-stand (one is 1.5cm higher than the other), a single frieze drawer, the legs are heightened in gilt. Although when viewed side by side the slight variations in design is apparent, but if placed either side of a bed, hall or mantelpiece the variation would be indiscernible. Both tables bear the same mark to the back, Williams and Gibton, Dublin.
