Croquet Set By Jacques, Retailed By Harrods
John Jacques and Son Ltd, Thornton Heath, Surrey, England, specially made for Harrods.
A set of four boxwood mallets with octagonal bound handles and ebony aiming lines along the top, six bent metal hoops, four coloured croquet balls, three coloured clips, a coloured finishing post, eight white wooden pegs and a mallet for setting up the game. All housed in the original hinged pine box, printed to the outside, with labels to the inside of the lid, a pair of rope carrying handles to each end.

Condition:  A well preserved and unrestored set, the pine box in good sound condition and a strong pair of handles to the ends.  The inside label with some staining.  The four mallets are all in good condition without any repairs, the hoops and post with game related marks.  A full set would include a 4th coloured clip.  Lovely original Jacques branding and Harrods retailing marks.
