A Meissen figure of a Hoopoe with Nest, mid 20th Century. Model by Max Esser, The birds plumage picked out in brown and black, the nest and foliage highlighted in purple. With crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised number H296 and 156: painted number 4. 10cm high.
Condition. The piece has a professional restoration to the beak which is extremely difficult to see.
