19th Century Cast Brass Trivet
Heavy cast brass trivet of the best quality, formed as a Georgian tripod table with knopped column, tripod base and pad feet. The tilt top has a bolt catch to lock it in place. A trivet or hearth stand was designed to take a kettle by the fireside.
English, or Welsh, early 19th century.
Condition: Lovely condition, the top does not sit completely square, no part is bent or damaged so this is just a quirk of an antique trivet.
